Welcome to the Swiss Virtual Campus e-learning course NAHRIS which is an acronym for "Dealing with Natural Hazards and Risks". This course was designed and implemented by an interdisciplinary group of researchers from the two Federal institutes of technology, their affiliated research institutes and various Cantonal universities.

Using NAHRIS is free of charge. Target groups are, on the one hand, researchers and students of Swiss Federal and Cantonal research institutions as well as persons working and studying at universities of applied sciences. Even students of secondary schools may be interested in working with this course. On the other hand, the course may also be interesting for the worldwide research community working in the field of natural hazards and risk management.

Access to NAHRIS, however, requires authentication. All a single user or a user group has to do is to fill out the registration form. Access information will be delivered by e-mail thereafter.
